CakePHP 1.2 Stable

As a professional software developer, I have worked with numerous programming languages and more recently development frameworks, but a little over 2 years ago I discovered the CakePHP framework and I have been a keen convert ever since.

CakePHP is a modern, well structured framework for developing PHP applications in a fraction of the time it would normally take.

Much of the repetitive code used over and over again in many web applications is already implemented and because it is so widely used and has such a large community behind it, you benefit from the combined experience of many developers ensuring secure and fast applications that are easy to build and maintain.

And the big news is...

CakePHP 1.2 stable is due any day now, a huge flurry of activity and a call for all hands to the pump have gone out across the entire community and surely it can't be long till this long awaited release is out there to make all our lives easier.

Good luck to the core team with this release, and a huge thank you for making my job as a freelance web application developer more productive and enjoyable.
