Ok, it's been a few weeks since my last post (mainly due to moving home and waiting for Telefonica to connect up my ADSL connection), but I'm back now and thought I would kick off with a new series of posts about some of The places to go and things to do here in my new home of Gran Canaria

Las Vegas Legends - Casino Royale

Number one of the must do list if you ever come to visit Gran Canaria is to visit the Las Vegas Legends, Black and Red Casino show, at the Casino in Meloneras.

We saw this shortly after we arrived in Gran Canaria back in January, and it completely blew us away, stunning performances of great tunes from all the Legends of Las Vegas, and last night we went back to see the latest version of the show: Casino Royale.

The two lead singers Adam Marks and Laura Parkes have great voices and the charisma to literally make you just stop dead and listen to one perfomance after another, whilst the dancers lead by Choreographer Jason Jones rival any show I have seen in London's West End (and I've seen quite a few).

But what really makes this show stand out is the attitude of the performers, you can see in their body language, facial expressions and performance that each and every one of them is totally dedicated to making Vegas Legends the best, not just the best in Gran Canaria but the best show of it's kind anywhere in the world, and it really comes across when they bring the whole place alive with sheer talent and raw energy.

The costumes are glamorous and pure glitz, the lighting and laser effects are visually stunning and from the moment you walk through the door every detail of your experience from the meal through to the show itself has been thoroughly worked through to make this a fantastic evening.

So thank you Vegas Legends, last night was the second time I have been to the show and it certainly won't be the last.

Thinking of coming to Gran Canaria for a holiday, don't miss this show, it is simply stunning.
