Well, you know how it is, you start speaking to someone, they ask you what you do, and you reply 'I'm a software developer', and the first thing they say is, 'oh, actually I've been having a few problems with my computer'.
I'm sure you've all been there, and I often wonder whether Racing car drivers are forever being asked to touch up a bit of body work on there mates cars! Or whether films producers constantly get request to fiddle with faulty video recorders!

Studio Canaria is the web site (and playground) of freelance web site designer and software developer Peter Butler.
First off, this site is intended as a resource, a place to document favourite web sites, solutions to common coding problems, a sounding board for ideas and a place to publish tips and information that may benefit both myself and the community who use this site.
Secondly this site is my own personal coding playground, a place to try out new techniques and show off what I can do and as such, it is a living evolving
